Five-Star Recruit
It got me thinking. It took TO like, 20 years to win a NC, and i think 10 or so to compete for one. It seems that the reason people say this is OK is becuase we won 9 or more games all of those years..

But.. Lets look here. Frank competed for a NC in his 4th year (correct me if wrong) and won 9 games in all but 1 season. It WAS obivous we had fell from the power we were in the 90s, but we were still winning..

Exactly. What we need more of is patience. I was not down with Solich's firing. It showed a ridiculous lack of patience, in my view.

But I do believe we've found an great replacement (forgive me for being in the minority; it does not make me wrong or right), and most of you all do agree (or did two weeks ago) that WCO is superior to the option in today's world. Unless I'm wrong, that still holds true, even though tons of Solich supporters seem to have come out of the woodworks. Isn't it nice to be able to actually score points quickly and come back from games?

Anyways. Patience, guys. This season is spinning out of control for many, many more factors than Bill Callahan. We need to have more patience, or we're going to fire him, hire some guy, fire him 5 years later and compare him to Callahan, then hire another guy...you get the drill.

As Dr. Tom said - you find a high character guy who does everything right, and the results will come, and have come, aside from this huge distraction of an unexpected season.

Which isn't over yet - again, quoting Dr. Tom - we are 4-3. We could be Notre Dame. Speaking of which, you have to feel for the pressure on those poor kids at ND. And in my mind, Coach Weiss has done very little right this year, at least in terms of running his team. But that's another story.
