Again, why Nebraska lost to VT ...

We lost cause we had to punt on 4th and goal bc/ of endless penalties....

and we started throwing on 2nd and goal from the 3 instead of Burkhead up the gut

and bc/ Holt dropped a TD

and bc/ after Lee threw a pick he couldn't seem to find his targets

and bc/ when he hit Gillelyn all alone he threw it out of bounds

and bc/ of the opening kick off

and bc/ on 3rd and 1 we ran a pitch sweep instead of the shotgun zone read

and bc/ we kicked 5 feold goals and scored no touchdowns

and bc/ O'Hanlon blew a coverage

and bc/ we gave Taylor too much time to throw

and bc/ we didn't go for it on 4th and 1

There's lots of reasons.

Some people seem obsessed with their favorite reason.

Very well said. And btw I don't personally blame O'Hanlon one iota. The game should have been out of reach by then.

Pelini said after the game "We play as a team, we win or lose as a team" (or something to that effect). There's not one player thee who can't perform much better. I can't wait til they do. I have confidence in Bo making it happen.

Well whatever reason you want to choose the one thing that remains is I am still pissed. I don't know how you guys come out of this so quick and just move on with "Hey we will get better" and "we played so well" and all of that. I am so tired of hearing we "will get better" and "great job". Bullsh*t. A loss is a loss. A win is a win. It's that black and white.

I really wanted the win against VT, I think it would have sent the message to everyone that the program is back and on the upswing. Instead, we blow it in the last 90 seconds of the game and now going into the rest of the schedule, NU is not going to get the respect we should have earned.

This whole week is going to suck, next week's game will make us all feel better, then its back to getting our asses handed to us the rest of the schedule. Flame me all you want, but my personal opinion is this loss has hurt us a lot more than everyone thinks. It will seriously affect the team and the entire season.
