Aggie Making the Roadtrip to Lincoln

Aggie02

Walk-on
Howdy! I am an Aggie making the roadtrip and have some questions.

We are taking an RV and was told the only place to park on campus was lot 20 in Haymarket Park. Is that the only place? Is there good tailgating there? The other option is north of the state fairgrounds. Would that be better?

Huskers are legendary for tailgating. Which lots do I go to to experiance it?

Where is the best bar scene? I have heard Haymarket District and O Street.

What are the must dos in Lincoln?

Are cabs easy to come by in the city?

Thanks and Gig'em!

Welcome to the board and enjoy your trip. I can't be of much help with the RV thing. Definately check out the Haymarket area and O street. Make sure you are around the stadium when the band comes up to the stadium because that's something to see. Also, make sure you are in your seat so you can check out the tunnel walk. It's a little disappointing to all of us this season, but it's still something to experience. Enjoy the tailgating because it definately gets a little crazy.

Go to the top of this message board and look for a pinned entitled

"Info Needed...come on guys please read" This is the beginning of a permanent library of places to visit on game day weekends in Lincoln.

I'm bringing to Lincoln an couple of Aggies from Topeka!

Can't wait to hear all of the "Longhorn" jokes

I hate aggy. No offense, but I hate aggy with a passion. Have fun losing and not making a bowl game. :)

5-year extension for Fran, too!

Didn't your mom ever tell you that if you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything?

Husker fans, the greatest in the world. :sarcasm

Yes, but with aggy, I find it hard to keep my ethics in tact. I have this urge to harrass them. Remember, I wasn't raised by Husker folk...I was raised by wealthy Baptists from Waco (hint, hint).
