I think it was more of a, you're a walk-on right now and as long as you behave good and such you will be placed on scholarship.

Sounds like the Judge being rather moderate in his approach to this,which is good--it appears that Alex was the principal party responsible here, but Alex has shown the court he's trying to fix himself and is admitting responsibility. Plus, I don't see where Alex had any priors, so I don't see why this is such a bad sentence.

 
Lewis began his sentence on May 12. He was released earlier this week after having served about 30 days and was back on campus Monday.

Thank goodness this was the update this thread was bumped for. You see a thread like this back on top of the forum, you get a little worried.

I'm glad he's done with his time. Hopefully he's learned his lesson and this can all be put in the rearview mirror and we can move on.

Anyone know how the kid at the other end of the punch is doing? Is he OK?

 
Lesson taught, learned will be seen down the road.

Kids get in fights. I have no problem with him, just if it happens again and the I told you so guys show up.
