I saw this on a couple news spots..and 1620 UC hit on it as well. How can something like this even get this far in the process of becoming an actual reality?

"The Augusta Chronicle reported on Tuesday that the All-American Basketball Alliance plans to kick off its inaugural season in June and hopes that Augusta will be one of 12 cities to host teams.

But here's the kicker: According to a press release the newspaper and other Augusta media outlets received from the new league, "only players that are natural-born United State citizens with both parents of Caucasian race are eligible to play in the league."

ive just been surprised this hasnt gotten more press yet. I havent been able to tell if this some elaborate media attention grabbing stunt, or how serious quotes like these from commissioner Don Lewis should be taken...

Lewis said he wants to emphasize fundamental basketball instead of "street-ball" played by "people of color." ...
"Would you want to go to the game and worry about a player flipping you off or attacking you in the stands or grabbing their crotch?" he said. "That's the culture today, and in a free country we should have the right to move ourselves in a better direction."

For what its worth, this "Commissioner" is a former wrestling promoter.
