All Frost Does is Win Games

Some crazy numbers in the Husker Media Guide this year about Frost's years as a coach.  Obviously a lot of them are as an assistant but I hadn't seen them put together quite like this.

Below are the two pages dedicated to Frost's coaching career.  They can also be found on pages 12-13 here

Some of the highlights.  In 11 years as a full time coach, Frost has

  • Been to a bowl game every year (more impressive now than it used to sound)
  • Won a conference title 7 times
  • Was ranked in the Top 10 in 8 seasons
  • Won 13 games twice
  • Won 12+ games seven times
  • Won 9+ games every year except his first year at UCF
  • Averaged winning over 11 games per year

Just being a part of - and being around a bunch of different coaching staffs that - won that many games has to be a good thing.

Does Chris Fowler know that NU is in the Big Ten? and that he works for ESPN?

Pretty incredible numbers however you slice it. He's always been a winner and he's always surrounded himself with winners. It's also the standard he has, and when he's at the podium speaking, he's speaking to his incredibly lofty standard.

Love it. Reminds me of when I was 12 yrs old and would look at the Nebraska win/loss until like ‘02 and be so proud. Winners win.

Next, can we find some flat front trousers?

He also knows how to climb the ladder. He has picked his spots well and decided when to move on well. But he made this move for more sentimental reasons ( although he & his staff are being well compensated ). Nebraska is fortunate, in retrospect the way all of this played out, in order to get him/them. Nothing says Great Leader like getting his entire staff to follow him to rebuild Nebraska.

bringing his whole staff from UCF was huge in keeping continuity and their growth together as coaches, although i believe they have some learning to do at this level too....be patient.
