Funny how Michigan fans think they have won like 20 titles but this only shows them ending the year number 1 twice.

They like to lurk between 20 and 5 but for all that can't seem to get the job done.

Another interesting thing is that all the 1st and 2nds for ND must have been awhile ago cuz I can't recall when they were ever as good as their reputation with the media.

Notre Dame claims to have won 11 national titles. This is decieving, because if you look at concensus titles, they have won 8. When you look at those 8, half of them were won pre-1950 (four in the 40's), one in the 60's, two in the 70's, and the last coming in '88. Meaning that for all the media attention this team gets, the reality is that it has been nearly 20 years since their last national championship.
