An interesting B1G Preview.

That preview is awful. He suggests that since Wisconsin lost all it's close games, the law of averages says they'll win some of them, and since schedule is easier, they're gonna win the division and B1G. It could almost make sense in a vacuum. But teams change, and Bucky is replacing most of their defense, including the front 7*, while also losing their only receiving threat, and having a starting QB that the fans want benched while being battled by a guy who was playing safety last year.

I'm normally a fan of grantland, but this is isn't a good article. Also, his "power rankings" are hilariously awful.

*Inb4 someone bitches that 1 guy started 3 games in the non con.

He listed turnovers as a major constituent in his formula which for most teams would produce a fairly reliable prediction, except for nebraska. We have been able to beat the odds there fairly reliably. Funny how he believes there won't be any competition in the west for the badgers.

Should be good bulletin board material for our guys. I don't know what this season holds, but the maddening, yet captivating thing about Pelini's teams is that we know they're capable of almost anything, good or bad.

Ed appears to be doing nothing more than grasping at straws as to why Wisconsin will win the west... I could probably create a more compelling case for Nebraska in a lot less words are charts.
