An issue that the NCAA needs to look at very carefully are the booth reviews and the length of them. I saw a play in the UNT/Texas game where the punt returner for Texas fumbled inside the 30 yard line. The officials decided to use a booth review to see whether the returner was down before he fumbled the ball. Yes, there are still booth reviews despite the coaches challenging the play. The total time of that review was 3:15. If the NCAA wants to shorten the game, they need to cut down on the booth review. An idea that I have is to save the booth reviews for inside two minutes left in the game in each half and cut the booth reviews down to 60 seconds.
