I thought this was pretty cool. I am a middle school coach, but we are working with our "parent" high school in Cypress, TX. I am waiting for our first meeting to start, and in walks Shanle...

I was a little suprised, and thought it was way cool, that a Husker All-B12 Defensive Back is now the DC I'm working for during Spring Drills.

Andrew was an academic honor-roll guy. He played sparingly, but he played well, for the Huskers. I think you might be thinking of Scott Shanle, his older brother, when you're talking about the all-Big XII honors.

Regardless, it's very cool to see him continue his career in football. He appears to have the brains to make it in coaching. Tell him Husker Nation still loves him.

EDIT - I think it's funny, though, that Andrew is the brother with the Super Bowl ring. He was with the Jints in 2007 when the beat the Patsies. Well, beat them the first time, anyway. :D

He told me he was Honorable Mention All Big-12. Really nice guy. Great teacher, good to work with.

I'm pretty sure A. Shanle started at least his senior year. Scott has a SB Ring with New Orleans.
