Annonymous Coach on Nebraskas season so far

It seems that the consensus from sources with no vested interest for or against NU has been that NU lacks the horses --- is a team with limited talent. Tomey (or whoever did this quote) said as much. On another thread the question was posed to a general audience who would come back fastest NU, Florida State or (I think (Alabama) --- and those responded seemed uniform in saying that NU would struggle still for lack of talent. The VTech fans that on their sight seem reasonable (not cocky or arrogant) and as well knowledgeable about NY are also uniform --- saying that NU has some grit and heart but lack team speed and also power in the trenches.

That is, essentially everyone outside of Husker Nation sees what an array of us here do not. NU is limited and if they hang with decent teams it will be on heart, effort and sound coaching.

Perhaps we should take heed to some of their analysis. Rough times lie ahead for NU.

 
Can a coach really say something like this after getting beat by at least three touchdowns? If our team is so bad...what does that make your team...you know, the team that beat you so bad?

Just curious...

The fact that his team got beat doesn't make what he is saying any less true.

 
Despite the fact that this coach is out of his place for speaking so harshly about a team that whooped on him...I think his assessment is closer to home than we want to admit. In fact I'm not quite ready to say that we're just gonna roll right over VaTech. I think this game could EASILY go either way, and I don't want the whole state to be in a deep depression should we loose.

We will get there, and I will even say we will win national championships, but lets be sure to give this team time to come back. Bo isn't even playing with his own players yet.

Uh, I guess it says they suck but I don't know what that has to do with what he is saying, which is what we're talking about.
