We are coming up to that time of the season where everyone with some type of media access will inevitably say "They control their own destiny." Its true, just turn on any sports show and I guarantee you will hear it before the end of their first statement. Here's the definition of
Destiny: something that is to happen or has happened to a particular person or thing; lot or fortune.
the predetermined, usually inevitable or irresistible, course of events.
It makes me laugh every time some announcer states, "They control their own destiny". I will say this, if I or we, could control our own destiny don't you think I would be on a beach with my wife and friends, a stack of money, and maybe the most interesting man in the world. Oh yea, and a satellite dish for BTN.
