announcers

Eric the Red

Team HuskerBoard
I know we have had our problems with announcers but I think Tirico is one of the best in the game. For not announcing the Husker games this season he was pretty knowledgable about the happenings. I know he screwed some thing up, but he did his best to smash and hammer the CU Buffs fans. Good game

Agree 100%. Tirico did a very noce job. Now if we can just somehow lose Jim Rose. I listened to KFAB for about 15 minutes while taking my sone to a b-day party. About put a bullet in my head.

Mike Tirico called the game as he saw it. Called the CU fans idiots. Said that we got JOBBED out of a feild goal try before the half. :cheers . Thanks Mike. You have a set. :horns2 :horns2

and another thing... he flew all the way to boulder from morgantown last nite... and he still did a great job and knew a lot bout the players and everything... he is one of my favs

Yeah, Tirico rocks! :cheers

Man, I am so glad that Woosburger didn't call the game. :dumdum

With Tirico calling it, it made it that much more of an enjoyable win. :thumbs

The only problem i had, and i know its not Tirico's fault, is that there was no mention of Nate Swift breaking Irving Fryar's record for single season receptions, which was forty, nate had 38 going into the game.

There was a mention of it, just not directly. In the 1st quarter, or early 2nd quater, they were talking about how some of Fryar's records were about to be broken. I don't know if they addressed it out right, though

I really liked the announcers myself.

They were in the game, they were knowledgable, and I'm not really anti-mussberger, but it just seemed to be called with a completely different feel. I don't know, it was less "big and coperate", and more.... natural. More....... homey, almost, I don't know. It was much more pleasant, I guess.

I hope they cover NU again :thumbs

^ no body was forcing stuff. It was nice to hear an actual pause. Like..... when no one had anything to say, they didn't speak. I always find that nicer than someone who just talks like it's his job.

I think that makes some sense, maybe, heh

Tirico is really a good announcer, I have always liked his style. :thumbs

I do recall him mentioning a quote by billy c. something along the lines of "Our system will work here. Its a proven system, we just need the players to run it."

Nice "coach" :rickjames

:bang :bang :bang

Once again there was nothing negative about the game so let's try like heck to put Billy C. down. Nice.

I thought the announcers were pretty good. They were a heck of a lot better then any of the other guys that have done the games this year.

What does that have to do with Tirico calling the game. You still have not said what you are a former fan of? You brought it up but have not answered. Doesnt surprise me.

Could not agree more Jim Rose is such a jacka$$ half the time he doesn't even know what kind of game he is calling with his "10-love crap" that he likes to do when the score is 10-0, I mean he just irritates the hell out of me. You know who should have gotten that job: Gary Sharp and he would have been great at it hands down!!
