So I have watched the B1G bowl games for the past 20+ years and there is a common theme. The B1G typically is the underdog in the match up and on many occasions has been competitive for much of the game but can never seem to close the deal. I have seen so many SEC 4th quarter come backs like SCar did today. Same could be said for UGA's win over Neb. Maybe 1 game out of 5 the B1G hangs on for the win. Now the B1G has blown out some SEC teams over the years and vice versa but in the close games the SEC (and B12, PAC) always seem to pull thru. Not sure what explains this. Thoughts?
As far as this year's bowls, it seems to be a repeat of the last 2 years. B1G wins a couple lower end bowls but cannot win the bigger bowls and Wisc loses a close one in the Rose.
A 2-5 record is what I expected and I thought a 3-4 record would be great given the B1G was heavy underdogs in many of the match ups.
