Any Avery Moss updates?

Last I heard, Avery Moss was considering either appealing the ban from campus, which if he won, he would be able to play in 2015. His other option was to transfer. I would love for him to stay, but at the same time he's too talented to sit around for a year & not play football. Just wondering if anyone had any updates on this...

Either way, he has to sit out a year even if he transfers, but he only got a one year ban. He stated he plans to re-enroll in 2015 and finish his degree. If he were to have transferred, or was intensively looking, there would definitely have been updates.

His sentencing is on March 28th as well for the incident.

Haven't heard anything lately but last I knew he was going to stay in Lincoln. He can't apply for reinstatement until December.

He's a kid that did a stupid thing, and God I hope he learned his lesson. It goes to his character that he is going to stick around.

So he won't be able to work out on campus. Hopefully he can find a gym and keep in shape. Are coaches allowed contact with him? Like would he be able to receive workout plans from them?

I would assume so if he's still on the team. As I understand it, the ban is a university grounds type of things. Has nothing to do w/ faculty or anything. Technically, he could probably still play in away games. The fact that he couldn't come on school property during the week to practicmakes that impossible obviously.

If he has a ban on University property, there is no way he is classified as a UNL student. If he's not a student, how could he even be a part of the team?

Do they still have the 40/60/80 rule? That would be my chief concern with him not being in class anywhere. Once you fall behind on that it is difficult to get caught up and eligible again.

Really hope he sticks around in Lincoln. Not just because he's a talent we could sure use, but because he could potentially end up in a worse situation with a less reputable group. You hear about more guys who transfer out and don't learn their lesson than you do about guys who stick it out, hope Moss can overcome this. If anybody has read about the stupid things I've done in my past I can definitely relate his situation.

Even with online classes, you are a student of the University. This is something he is not allowed to be, and is part of the ban. He isn't even allowed to step foot on campus, and when you do online classes, you do have to go in for occasional testing and reviews.
