Any chance Solich would come back?

I mean look at what dude's done at OHIO. He's take a perennial loser and turned them into a winner. That would be the opposite of his SUCCESSOR, who took a perennial winner and turned them into...well...a decent MAC team.

Steinbrenner fired Billy Martin how many times, yet brought him back?

How about it?

Of course not. You don't fire a coach and say "Whoops, but we're going to hire you back now." That bridge has been burned, and the damage and ridicule that our program would be subjected to if he were rehired is enormous.

Yeah, I didn't like it when Solich got fired. I thought he deserved more shots. But I'll support the team whatever comes, and I like Callahan a lot - this is where we are now, and our future is looking bright.

Okay, our season outlook had a bright future, anyway. We'll see how the rest of the season goes. Go Big Red!

Great. I'll look forward to:

1.) Unintellegible sound bites that drive away recruits

2.) the same game plan, no matter the opponent

3.) Poor recruiting

4.) Spouting platitudes laced with "in terms of..." "on that end of it," and "get it done."

5.) Being intimidated by the opposition

"Best friends, right, Bo???""

lol only if TO was made the AD and then begged for him to comeback which I hope would never happen at least the Solich part.

The recruits that Callahan has brought in and is bringing in wouldn't fit into solich's gameplan. I like Callahan anyway, Solich was a decent coach, but had the same gameplan for every oppenent, and when he lost he lost big.
