My cousin has recently moved there from LA, and my gf and I are looking to go out there possibly this fall.

Just wondering how the city is.

Not sure how much this will help you but one of my roommates spent a summer there and liked it. He says the city is pretty nice and he had a fun time at the bars. He then went on to tell me there are a lot of strippers in that city (which might be considered a good thing) and that he was somehow slipped a date rape drug (probably a bad thing. He doesn't think the drug was meant for him but he drank the drink and ended up on the floor after about 3 slips.

Have a great time!

I spent a couple weeks there to take care of a buddy's Chem lab while he and his VP went to Hawaii for a stockholder's convention.

The college bars I went to had less than 20% females and the "females" looked like offensive linemen.

Except for one..and She was married.

But there's a giant rock you can climb around there (or take a tram like my Ex did on her 2nd? honeymoon).

Sandia Peak EDIT: must be a live picture..it was light when I posted, but now it's dark. <_<

I asked this same question a couple months ago with minimal replies. I visited a buddy of mine for about 10 days in July. It's not a huge city. It doesn't really take long to get anywhere. My buddy said all the college girls are starting to come back and there are a lot of them. Don't go near the Air Force base. That area is known as the "war zone" where all the gang activity is. Nob Hill is a cool part of town. There's a lot of different bars and shops. It's kind of a trendy, hippie area of the city. Downtown was ok. It was pretty dead when I went there but since the college kids are filtering back in, it might be better.
