I'm watching UFC's Fight Night and they advertised a website almost like Ebay where you can buy products 98%, 96%, 80%, etc off the retail price. I just watched a guy buy a $600 digital camera for only $14.81. This just can't be for real and theres gotta be a catch like these products are used/defective or they sock you in shipping cost. Theres currently a PS3 for sale at 9 cents with less than 24 hours left. Anybody hear about this site or no anybody thats tried it?

Yeah, I've seen those. The catch is that you have to buy bids...not sure how much it costs, but it does cost. Also, I think that when a bid is placed, more time is added to the auction.

I checked it out a month or three? ago.

You have to pre buy bids I think for $1 each or slightly less if you buy a large bundle of bids.

But if you wait to do a "sniper bid" they add more time to the auction..

The auctions I watched ended up having over two hundred bids and the $80 item sold for ~$65..

It would be great for fund raisers..they got ~$265 for something that probably cost them $13 bought in bulk.

I guess if you want to win something at that website, the "trick" is to just bid once what you're willing to pay for it and hope no one else notices.

My wife and I tried it out several weeks ago. It's "aight" but I didn't feel like dropping $20 or $30 to bid on something that I wasn't sure I would win.
