Anyone ever buy season tickets from a third party vendor?

Contemplating buying season tickets from vivid seats.com and selling the games individually I don't go to- has anyone ever done this before? I've bought individual tickets through them and its been great but I feel kind of nervous about buying the full season

Also I'm contemplating between buying some in the lower bowl row "C" versus rows in the 40's as I've heard sections in the 40's along the sideline can have an obstructed view- is there any truth to this?

Thanks in advance

The top few rows along the sidelines - sections 1-11 and 21-31 - can have obstructed views. It looks like those sections go up to Row 41. Not sure how many rows are obstructed but I'd do some checking on anything over Row 35.

I'd be curious if they are marking up (or how much they're marking up) the seats over what you'd have to pay through the University. I'm sure there will be seats available again this year.

It is "sort of" obstructed...from what I remember if they are running a play towards your sideline you won't see it all...because the players that are standing there are "sort of" in the way...

On a side not...I yelled at the back up punter for Purdue a few years back until he finally turned around and waived...I don't know why but I was on a mission to annoy him.

Nice.

The top rows are obstructed by columns. The low rows are obstructed by the players on the sidelines.

Interesting. Thanks in advance. I'm thinking I'll wait to see what the ticket office has available before making any further moves

Here's the chart for what donations were required last year. Face value on the tickets was $57 times seven home games would be $399.

The first (cheapest) tickets on the list on Vivid Seats - Section 34 Row 94 - did not require a donation last year so would only cost the $399 instead of the $521 they're trying to sell it for. I guarantee you there will be plenty of seats in this area available for new ticket requests.

The next tickets - Section 3 Row 45 - would appear to be in the Faculty/Staff area which is interesting. Also would be obstructed view.

All the rest of the tickets (15 options) would all be somewhat-obstructed view seats. According to the chart, Rows 41-47 and Rows A, B, C and D are obstructed view. Through the University they would require a donation of $250 plus the $399 so there is about a 100% mark-up or better. Since only one option is not obstructed view, it would seem to me that someone is grabbing those cheaper seats and trying to pawn them off as the expensive ones they are either in front of or behind .... counting on people not realizing it. I don't see anything on there that marks them as obstructed view.

Not trying to tell you want to do, just want you to be aware of what you're looking at.

If you're wanting to get season tickets, I'd put your name on the University's list. It does cost you a non-refundable $25 but then you'd get a chance to see what seats are available - and for what price - and pick any seats that are still available. There will definitely be better seats available that what are currently listed on Vivid Seats and there will be a bunch that don't require a donation if you just want to get in the door.

Awesome Mav- You're the man. Thanks for all the help here I really appreciate it

Just wound up buying them for the 2 individual games I'll be at (Oregon/Purdue) although it seems like a decent idea in the future to avoid the donation that would come with buying certain seats
