I don't really worry about ESPN, they have not been terribly accurate so far. What with the Tubberville to AR, Miles to MI, and so forth. I am waiting for TO to go before the microphone and announce his choice. I will then support that choice.

 
Paul Johnson makes about $1,500,000 a year total compensation at Navy. If he moves he would expect a raise, reportedly around $2,000,000. SMU is willing to pay that amount, TO probably is not. Hard to believe that Nebraska could be outbid by SMU, but that appears to be the case. (There are smoe big money donors at SMU.)

Grobe reportedly is wanting $14,000,000 over five years, the equivalent of what his ten year contract at Wake is worth.

If we are not willing to shell out some big dough, it pretty much leaves us with Pelini or Gill.

I like Johnson but I don't see us giving a $10,000,000 five year contract to anybody, especially after having to pay off Callahan.

Penny-wise and pound-foolish? We'll see in a few years...
