Are we a better or worse team since Carl Pelini left?

No doubt, our young staff has the potential to become elite.
Most of the guys who have left under Bo Pelini have taken a step up. Marvin Sanders is coaching at South Carolina, Ted Gilmore is at USC, Joseph went to LSU after just one year at Nebraska. Eckler is the DC at Indiana. Carl Pelini got the head coaching job at FAU. Shawn Watson went to coach the QB at Louisville, but that is more of a demotion.

Thought 2 Pelinis are better than one...

It's too soon to tell. But I liked Carl.

At this early stage, I would say our defense is worse, but not due to anybody on the sideline.

I think our defense was just as bad last year, except for the fact that LaVonte David bailed us out on far too many occasions to count. He made so many plays that realistically he had no business making. I think without him our D would have looked every bit as bad last year as it has for these first two games.

Someone in a earlier thread rating our units actually said they thought our LB corp would be better.

Maybe, maybe not. Far too early to say with any certainty. I do wish, however, that Nebraska would stop being a place for first-time coordinators to learn on the job.

Watson has the same job as at NU. OC/QB coach. And he has plans for world domination.
