Assistant Coach
I tried searching for one but haven't had much success. Anybody know of a good one to see what they are saying about the game?

Yawn..

Exciting. So, Arizona's offense is apparently on par with Texas Tech's.

Right.

On a side note, could anyone even name an Arizona player before they were named our opponent?

It's hilarious to me how much the "Texas Tech like offense" comparisons have gone to their fans heads. Remember Wildcats, being compared to greatness doesn't actually make you great. Especially when the team your being compared to has never finished better than 3rd in their division. Just some food for thought Cats.

Amen to that. Plus, I don't think our offense will set up their offense they we did for Tech, especially since we aren't throwing a WR screen every other play.

Some of my favorites so far....

ZonaCats8I don't think we'll have any problems putting up 20+ thanks to our quick passes that we run so well, as well as a hopefully rather healthy Grigsby after over a month off for him.
20yrsSTHYes, we had a hard time dealing with Iowa's DL. But Matt Scott was the QB then and Iowa soon lost any respect for an Arizona passing game. They teed off on stopping the run and we were dead. We have been a different team since Nick took over towards the end of that game. I'll say this again, our quick passing game negates Suh. He may disrupt us by batting down passes - but I will be surprised if he ever lays a serious hand on Foles, much more if he sacks him.
I have to say that last comment had me rolling! :rollin

listened to an interview with the Arizona play by play guy the other day.... He basically says the same thing. He believes that their short passing game will negate Suh and company, but also said that Arizona has NEVER seen a guy like Suh, so they wouldnt know until game time on how big of an impact he would have. The guy was confident that the "shot-gun", screen, quick passes would allow the offense to be successful.

He said that the 4-5 wide look was effective and that "every" guy was/is a "hot" read. He also said that their running game was solid and one of their RBs was going to be back.

I seriously think that they will move the ball and score. But, Suh will be a factor.

Yes a quick passing game will help, but I'm convinced the last 5 or 6 opponents NU has faced, have had better O-lines than Arizona.

I'd take my chances with Phil in the middle and Hagg in flat against any of their skill players. Hell that plays right into NU's hands.

Good...go to the 4-5 wide look. It puts our best defensive players on the field.

Yeah, I'm not getting the Arizona Fan confidence here. The Wildcats are averaging 30 points per game, while our opponents are averaging half that. We held every single opponent under their scoring average, and across the season our opponents averaged 15 points less per game than they usually scored.

Arizona only held half their opponents below their average, and on average across the season their opponents met their averages against the Wildcats. They were not much of a force against their competition. They're certainly decent, but they're not a shut-down defense.
