Ark/USC

USC is not impressing me a whole bunch. Had it not been for the million turnovers by Arkansas, USC might not be winning.

SC's receivers are making good plays now. But Arkansas' D has been on the field so much. Our O will do better than theirs'.

Interesting game - I shut it off when it got to 44-7. Arkansas gave up two fumbles early (a third they recovered), and one interception (had another later). That kept the Arkansas defense on the field most of the first half and good chunk of the third quarter. Arkansas has speed on defense, but lacks size - and they don't have any players comparable to the Husker front seven. They were unable to pressure Booty at all, for all intents and purposes - so judging Booty by this game is a bit hard to do.

Also, Arkansas is implementing a new offense. We all know how that goes.

All in all considering all of the above, USC was not dominate in any sense of the word. That's not to say Arkansas would have won - they wouldn't - but if they had been able to avoid the turnovers and keep their defense off the field, the score would have been much closer.

It's funny - when you watch the USC offense, it's almost the same as the Huskers.

USC didn't dominate by any sense but they also played rather well. Their offense seemed to move the ball and their defense did quite well for a supposed weak unit.

Similar. Thiers looks a bit easier for the kids, a bit less complicated if you will. They also have much less shifting and motions than NU does. We are going to have to score in the 30's to win that game. USC is really, really good. It will take a callosol effort to hang with them.
