At a Husker game...

How many of you feel that its a bit quiet?

How many think the students should be closer? I thought the seats were closer in the mid 90's when I was there. I guess I don't really know where the students sit now.

How many of you have been told/asked to sit down? I have heard stories about fans being told things like "Young man, we don't stand in this section" I have no idea if its true or not.

Last two games I actually went IN to were CU last year, seemed like the biggest yelling was at halftime for Suh. Then OU two years ago, I thought that game was pretty loud.

From the student perspective since that's where I sat the last 5 years, I would say how loud it gets really depends on the game and time of day. Most conference games and big time non-con games are usually pretty loud, but when they are at 11am it's obviously going to be a bit quieter. And I definitely think the students should be closer I think moving south stadium up was a big mistake.

Really from the student section the only thing that I could complain about was it being too quiet in between plays. We're a bit too nice, we quiet down after the play and let them get the next call in then the noise comes back up. From what I can hear on TV it seems like other big time schools keep the volume up throughout the game, I'm sure they take a break on TV timeouts. But at aTm they were cheering/chanting almost the entire game. I've always thought it would be cool if we could have some kind of chant like they do at soccer games, that would last for a few minutes.

I was at the OU game in 09. By far the greatest time I have ever had at a Husker game. I could tell the story just like it was yesterday, unseasonably warm weather, night game, epocson video before the tunnel walk, princes INT, Lee's floater into the endzone, Ohanlons career night. Losing my voice by the 4th quarter because of yelling and screaming. Forearms bruised the next day from throwing the bones.

Ditto. Probably the greatest game for intensity from the beginning til the last time the ball was snapped. Absolutely amazing. One of the pluses of the night games is that many of the bluehairs(you know old old old people like knapp, t_o, among others :LOLtartar BAZINGA) don't go and give/sell their tickets. Not once in my section and we(my wife and I) were in the northeast corner did I hear the most popular saying at Husker Game days. Not Go Big Red, or Hey Runza guy, but Down in front!! ANd I loved it
