I hate to be pessimistic, but just assuming for a moment that Nebraska suffers lopsided losses at Mizzoo and Texas, loses a tight one to either KSU or KU, misses the Big 12 North, and gets invited to the Independence Bowl...

Do Callahan & Company return for 08?

BTW, I think the above scenario is a distinct possibility, as bad as I hate it.

No you don't hate it, its who you are, you thrive on being a pessimist. It must be in your DNA.

Coach Callahan is not going any where. All other coaches, I have no idea. But Coach C is here, WANTS to be here for gods sake. He loves these players.

And you would love for your scenerio to play out. It won't. Much as you would cough...hate for it...cough ...to play out. You are such a fake.

I don't think Nebraska can afford to let him go. It would be pretty difficult to cough up his salary plus an additional 2+ million a year through 2011. He'll be here, and so will the rest of his staff unless they leave on their own accord. Pud has already handed him the keys to the ferrari, and it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks about it.

 
Ehhh I'm still skeptical about this coaching staff because they haven't really done anything great yet. I doubt we will be winning any championships with these set of coaches because they are at best average to a little above average coaches.

 
the only way billy c. could put his job in jeopardy this season would involve an orphanage, ten gallons of gas and a box of matches.

outside of that, he's safe.

Exactly, Pedey has made our bed, and we all have to sleep in it. Which really sucks because BRI snores and keeps hogging the covers.
