Athlon Sports Ranks Memorial #2 in B1G

Don't take this as pissing in Nebraska cornflakes, merely a devils advocate position (I saw ppl talking about it on other boards). I think one of the reasons Michigan Stadium dropped like it did was the complete loss of students showing up for games. The pic they showed was completely pleasant, but I have seen pics of the student section almost half full the last couple of years. That may have something to do with at least Michigan Stadium being dropped to where it is. Which may be an endorsement of Memorial Stadium, as the disparity in population I think makes up for it (i.e., Memorial is full at all times, Michigan can't get students to show up on an embarrassing level).

Edit: Im a little intoxicated, so take it for what its worth.

That truly is impressive. The Big House and Penn State are pretty historic stadiums. Very nice for Nebraska.
Yeah, I'm surprised. I would have guessed we'd be behind Michigan and perhaps ahead of Penn State. The Big House has really fallen in the past few years.

Some of it nuance yes. But there is still and inceasingly often problem of students not showing up. They receive tickets at a discount rate and i believe there needs to be a stiff two strike, use it or lose it policy implemented by the university to go hand in hand with their ridiculous procedures of selling student tickets. I know two students there who couldnt get student tickets yet the game rolls around and theres a ton of empty seats. If the school wants those seats full on gameday for a "looks great" effect then they seriously need to go back to the drawing board on their policies of distributing and handling of student tickets.
