The movie that nobody saw (grossed $15M in US box offices) won 6 Oscars. Two of which were for Best Picture and Director.

I feel Avatar about got what it deserved.

Good visuals, no story (my impression anyway). Didn't deserve the top prize, but definitely the awards for cinematography, effects, etc.

I saw The Hurt Locker and it didn't seem all that cohesive. C'mon, hittin' someone at the range with a 50 cal should be child's play while the laundry are hitting them with a small bore rifle? I THINK NOT. nice explosions though. Glad I never worked EOD. nuker.gif

GBR

ps liked The Blind Side the best chickflick with football :thumbs

I agree with zoogies. Lots of eye candy and little plot line with Avatar.

And yes, the director of the Hurt Locker did take quite a bit artistic license with the story telling there too. Many Veterans didn't like the movie in that regard.

Didn't see The Hurt Locker (could this be a prediction of the Washington game next year??)

Is it one of the dem' super liberal movies that only the Hollywood elite would like/believe?
