Back under the radar.

All-American
Well, after reading around the monday coverage and thoughts from the last weekend, we are now officially back under the radar and back to being an under dog. Anyone who was saying possitive things about us at any point this season is now on the missouri band wagon.

Some common thoughts from various media types, and thier short memories.

Before the ISU game, they were going to give us all we can handle, and every single preseason mag picked us to lose. The Big Red rolls into Ames and pills out a rather convincing win, and now all that they want to say is " Don’t get too excited about the win at Iowa State; the Cyclones aren’t playing all that well."

Mizzou plays Tech, and as tech gives the game away with 28 points off turnovers(2 pick 6) it gets called a "convincing win" and "silences any doubts" about the tigers, and "would be very suprised if they dont win the north". But lets just ignore Tech getting held to 3 vs TCU that has sence been killed by BYU and Utah.

And so it is back to being a forgotten foot note by the media. This may well play just fine for us though. No pressure, no expectations isnt a bad thing. And Mizzou has always imploded when the spotlight gets turned on them.

So far the B 12 N appears inconsistent and what talking head wants to look like a bigger moron than they already is :)

Grammmar 1001 thank u much

Fine by me. Let everyone underestimate us.

And as for Mizzou - they were outgained by 150 yards at Tech. Give them credit for forcing turnovers, but I don't think that win really was convincing. Win at aTM and OU, and I'll be worried.

I'm not worried about Mizzou right now and I think since we have them at home that will be a big positive for us...........if they are undefeated by the time they come to Lincoln then I'll start to worry............

Exactly. They have two tough games coming up. I am anxious to see what they do when their opponent doesnt piss down their leg and turn the ball over 6 times.

Mizzou has impressed me from the QB play. Brad Smith was dangerous, but also dangerous to his own team. Their QB this year - Chase Daniel - has played in the spread system for 6 years (4 years in HS) and knows how to take care of the ball, has a quick release and is very accurate. Their TE's are great. But the Defense isnt something that is going to carry them and can be exploited. It's good that we have them at home. Will be a very tough. Not gonna look past KSU though. GBR!!!

Apparently Mizzou has a really fast defense. THAT would be the game to line it up and just run it down their throats...

Zone runs seem to work well in that situation. Look for Jackson or Lucky.

We could also use a little misdirection as well. Once a fast defense commits there are ways to exploit it.

Two things for a fast defense are quick slants and play action both of which taylor and our WR corp are great at. I do think that if Cos lets the defense put some pressure on Daniel, we will have nothing to worry about. Colorado got pressure on him in the first half and made him throw some int's. And its in the sea of RED!!!!!
