I haven't heard anything at all about Baker Steinkuhler this fall. I imagine that he red-shirted this season, but has anyone heard how he progressed during fall practices? There's been talk about some of the freshman that will likely be counted on next year.

 
I am not the foremost expert, but I believe he was injured for part of the year, which contributed to him redshirting.

However last night on Big Red Wrap Up, Matt Slauson praised him as being an amazing talent while playing on the scout teams defensive line this year.

More than likely he will be a starter next year as a RS Freshman. I can't to see this kid tear it up. He is a total freak of nature as an athlete. I hope he still runs a 4.8 in the 40 at 300 pounds.

 
I think the all these hungry RS Freshman are going to make the Earth Shake next year fighting for PT. :steam

I heard he was spending a lot of his time moving electronics for Kenny Wilson and being the designated driver for Hunter Teafatiller.

There is still alot of rumor and speculation as to what he was doing for Cody Glenn...

From what I've heard, Baker was heard to block and to contain in practice because he's such a beast. My uncle told me that about two weeks before the Colorado game. Real excited to see him play after hearing this.

Yeah, after watching Big Red Wrap Up and hearing Slauson praise Baker, I'm confident Baker will see playing time this upcoming fall.

 
And the fact that the LJS listed him as a "returning D-lineman" along with Slauson's comment can put to rest on whether or not he will play O-line or D-line.

 
Baker will be beasting now that he can hit the weights like he could have been months ago. He was giving the o-line fits during bowl practices.

It is really good to hear this kind of stuff about him. Would be nice to get a nice rotation of Dominate DT's again.
