Basketball Fans - '08 March Madness

My friends and I were pretty pissed when the 'available' tickets for the 1st round of the NCAA Basketball tournament (March '08) never actually were available to the public. They were sold to Creighton season ticket holders, alums, and big-wigs with Qwest.

So I sent my name in on the available waiting list.

Believe it or not...I got a call...and they actually have some tickets available!

We got our max of tickets (8 max per person) for our group. They were $168 (each seat) for ALL OF THE GAMES in Omaha. 4 games on Thursday and 2 games on Saturday. Not a bad deal. Of course they are in the 'upper' bowl, but at least we're in the door.

So if you're on the list just be ready...you might actually get in! :woo

I have in laws that work there so I need to have them pull some strings. $168 a seat is not bad for 6 games. I'd be down for that shizz.

 
A good friend of ours (our neighbor) works at the Hilton next door as an event planner/manager. I'm going to see if she can pull some strings and get us a room for that weekend. Not that we will crash there, but it would be nice to be able to go and relax inbetween games.

I've watched 4 games on TV in one day....but never attended that many!

 
They have hosted a couple of the regionals in recent years here in Syracuse at the Carrier Dome and we always go when it is here. Such a great atmosphere to be in.
