So did our plodding #66 ranked defense outplay their speedy #12 ranked defense?

I'm hoping this is the first step in the process of the rest of the country realizing that the defenses in the Big 12 are better than they thought, it's just that the offenses are sick.

I agree. Once we have some stand-out athletes (especially at LB and in nthe secondary) and setter overall speed, well.... we'll have a great defense.

Last year we finished what # 105 nationally? This year it will be about #60 or so (we went in # 66). Next year a top 25 defense? Maybe. Consider....

Alonso Whaley, Baker Steinkuhler, Quentin Toilola, Cameron Meridith, Sean Fisher, PJ Smith, Will Compton ---- that could be some good talent. So... we'll start inexperienced but feiry next year and end well. I do not see it a stretch to have a top 25 or so defense next year.

And Barry Turner, Dennard playing D. Thenarse, Amukamura, West, Hagg, all with a year under them, some confidence and well.... why not?
