As a Pats fan, this is a bit painful to think about, but what a crazy set of coincidences, right?
I would the Pats like to never play a team with safety Bernard Pollard on it ever again. This is all he's done:
-2008: Lays the hit on Brady that tears his ACL and puts him out for the season. Pats go 11-5 and miss the playoffs under Cassel. (KC Chiefs)
-2010: Week 17, zooms in on Wes Welker, who cuts and crumples to the turf. ACL injury. The 14-2 Pats, without Welker, lose to the Jets in the divisional round. (HOU Texans)
-2011: AFC Championship Game, hits Rob Gronkowski. Gronk suffers a high ankle sprain that severely hampers him for the Super Bowl, which the Pats lose to the New York Giants. (BAL Ravens)
-2012: AFC Championship game, knocks Stevan Ridley out for the game (head injury) in the early 4th quarter, also causing a fumble in Patriots territory, leading to the clinching Ravens TD that put them up 28-13. (BAL Ravens)
