Best Nebraska Football Player Names

There is a discussion in one of the threads about Chancellor Brewington and his name.  Got me asking, which names do you think are unique player names & why  :dunno

I'll throw out the obvious one and my favorite I. M. Hipp  (Isiah Moses ).  Hipp lived out his 'hipness' by proving it on the field.

He came to Nebraska in 1975 and by the time he left in 1979 he had gained just shy of 3000 rushing yards.  His senior year was cut short by 'turf toe' of all things.

I was attending South Dakota State at that time and didn't get to truly appreciate all that he accomplished during his time at Nebraska.  He ended up being one of

the great RB in a whole series of great RBs that Nebraska has had over the past 50 years.

Some of his 'hipness' accomplishments:

  • 1995 Inductee, Nebraska Football Hall of Fame
  • Fourth-Round Draft Pick, 1980 NFL Draft (Atlanta)
  • Honorable-Mention All-Big Eight, 1979
  • Honarable-Mention All-American, 1978 and 1977
  • Second-Team All-Big Eight, 1978
  • First-Team All-Big Eight, 1977
  • 1977 Husker Power Lifter of the Year

That sounds pretty 'official' or European upity like Chancellor Brewington
And, he looked the part.
