Best Resorts to stay in Colorado??

I think I'm going to COlorado in November. Where are the best rsorts to stay at? I think I will split up my four day vacation over two resorts....which one would you suggest? Looking for fun, outgoing bars and nightlife. Also looking for good snowmobiling

I THINK this is the snowmobile company we used in January:

The guide was great and the place we drove around for about 3 hours was beautiful. You check in at Dillon and then drive out to Green Mountain Reservoir....gorgeous country on the way out there!! If I had the money, I would totally buy a house there.

If you've never done snowmobiling before, you're in for a treat. Just being able to see things you can't from the highway is worth it.

As far as resorts, I haven't stayed in one for quite awhile. We rented a cabin/house while we were up in the mountains. If you need a good house to rent, I can totally recommend the one we stayed in. Otherwise, I stayed at the Vintage Hotel (in Winter Park) years ago and remembered liking it, although that's not a resort at the base. If I was to stay in a resort, I'd probably try Breckenridge Ski Resort...great town.

I can't really give you a specific resort but if you are looking for good nightlife go to either Breckenridge or Vail. They have the best nightlife by far in the mountains. I also know Vail has some good snowmobiling close by (I assume Breck would have something similar).

Don't forget to make a trip to Estes Park. There's a Nebraska store there. Gotta show your love

Absolutely! I've been going to Estes a few times a year my entire life (actually there this past weekend) and the Husker store is great. The guys are very nice and have some wonderful memorabilia.

Estes Park is one of my favorite places on Earth. They don't have crazy nightlife (you can find some - trust me). I once got kicked out of the bar at the Stanley Hotel (The Shining, anyone?) on Thanksgiving....I promise it was a crappy bartenders fault :wasted

There is never a shortage of things to do with Estes Park's proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park. I'd love to name you a good resort (there are hundreds) but I've never stayed in one....lucky enough to have a family cabin.

If nightlife is the main goal for your trip stay in downtown Breck or Lionshead (in Vail). I see that your going out there in November. Are you planning to ski/snowboard? If you are Vail might be the place to spend most of your time. You could spend all four days in Vail b/c the ski area is massive and once you get away from the bottom front side of the mountain, the lift lines aren't bad at all. I spend most of my time around Blue Sky Basin on the backside (that's what she said) of Vail.

Breck also has good skiing but it's still not near Vail. Breck's nightlife is probably just slightly better than Vail's but you could argue the other way around. Everything in Breck is more centrally located on one main street. In Vail, it's kinda divided between Vail Village and Lionshead.

My Brother has been going to Telluride every winter with his Wife and Kids.

Copper Mtn was great last time I was there in '82?

Just stay away from the Brothels.
