Between the cornfield

So I have been pondering this for a while. Nebraska should surround the out edges of the sideline with stocks of corn. Much like Sanford stadium in Georgia does with hedges. What do you all think?

not sure that artificial turf is the best place to grow corn.
I see what you did there and I don't like it...

But in all seriousness, imagine how cool the stocks would look when they were browning in the fall? It would not be that difficult to build planters to run along the brick walkway along the field.

I like the idea, but the devil is in the details. I say, embrace the corn, don't try to run away from the idea that Nebraska grows it to make a living.

Corn is not a perennial like a hedge and doesn't grow year round, can get very tall and could obstruct sight lines for the lower seat rows, and requires a good deal of maintenance to keep it alive and not sickly-looking. Additionally, there isn't all that much room along the sidelines to really put anything else in there.

Yeah, so there is a bunch of brown, dried-out corn stalks on either side of the field during football season? That would look great!!!!
