Big 12 new schedule on "Championship Saturday"

Apathy

All-American
Why would anybody watch Texas play Baylor over games like Ohio State/Wisconsin vs Nebraska/Michigan State/Michigan/Iowa in the Big 10 Championship game or the SEC Championship and PAC 12 Championship games? The only game worth watching is the Oklahoma vs Oklahoma State game but Texas and Baylor.......BHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Stinky Linky

The Conference will continue to have a strong presence on "Championship Saturday" with two games scheduled for December 3. Texas will travel to Baylor while Oklahoma State hosts Oklahoma in the annual Bedlam matchup. Times for each game will be announced at a later date, but will be at either 2:30 or 7:00 p.m. CT on ABC.

Maybe its just me looking too far into it, but you notice how they feature only former Big 12 south teams?

Truthfully a better matchup would be Missouri vs Kansas rather than Texas and Baylor.

I never really thought about that and you brought up a very good point. Why not watch the 2nd longest rivalry in the nation to this date than watch Baylor vs Texas.

Reason why no KU-MU:

Kansas Population: 2,818,747

Number of people in Kansas who care about KU or MU football: 5

Number of people who care about KU football outside of Kansas: 0

http://quickfacts.ce...ates/20000.html

Missouri Population: 5,987,580

Number of people in Missouri who care about KU or MU football: 47

Number of people who care about MU football outside of Missouri: 1000

http://quickfacts.ce...ates/29000.html

Texas Population: 24,782,302

Number of people in Texas who care about UT or Baylor football: Everyone

Number of people who care about UT or Baylor (but much more UT) football outside of Texas:....A LOT

(Number who care about UT football even when they play Baylor: MU-KU interested parties X 100,000)

There is talk about playing big games that weekend every year in the future, but the schedules are alittle messed up this year and next with games that were already set. Once they are able to properly set up schedules based on 10 teams it will be better.

That makes no sense. Just scrap every old schedule and start over.

Agree. Only the non-con games should be "set". If the B12-2 doesn't have interesting matchups that weekend, then the B12-2 is to blame. Heck, they could have just not said anything about the final weekend, but instead they're trying to compete with the biggest matchups. It just looks silly.
