Big Ten football: The fall's top 20 headliners June 27, 2013 7:00 pm • By BRIAN CHRISTOPHERSON / Lincoln Journal Star

It’s become something of a summer tradition here at the Journal Star to project the best of the best in the Big Ten (and, at one time in another galaxy far away, the Big 12) before the commotion of the football season hits.

Here are a few notables. Little write-up for earch in the link:

#18 Spencer Long, Nebraska offensive guard LINK

#14 Kenny Bell, Nebraska wide receiver LINK

#10. Darqueze Dennard, Michigan State cornerback (Alphonzo's cousin) LINK

#7. Ameer Abdullah, Nebraska running back LINK

#3. Taylor Martinez, Nebraska quarterback LINK

#1. Braxton Miller, Ohio State quarterback LINK
Pretty good stuff from Brian Christopherson. But with LJS you only get a limited number of free views per month. So don't click back and forth in and out of the article.

Thanks for sharing, NUance

I'm glad they mentioned Ameer's run in the Capital One Bowl. He showed some amazing speed and quickness on that run against a top tier defense loaded with talent. Hope he breaks off more of those runs this season.

Hitting too hard isn't legal anymore, so we won't be seeing it again.
Yeah, I think ncaa/OSHA rules require that the guy be looking at you before you hit him.

Next year Kenny Bell is going to attach a clown horn to his wrist: HONK, HONK! (I'm gonna wreck you, buddy!)

Pretty sure KB tweeted something like "A receiver can catch and run backwards now and not get hit...INVINCIBILITY"
