From AP via SI:

Former Indianapolis Colts linebacker Trev Alberts was hired by CSTV as a college football analyst, and will team with play-by-play man Tom Hart this season.

Former Florida State quarterback Chris Rix is also joining the CSTV family, serving as an analyst to the game action called by play-by-play man Jonathan Coachman.

Alberts, a former All-American Nebraska, spent three years at ESPN as a part of its College Football Scoreboard and College Football Gameday teams before being fired for not showing up to work last September. In addition to game coverage, Alberts will also be a regular contributor to CSTV's weekly studio program, Crystal Ball. Alberts was a first-round draft pick in 1994 and played three years with the Colts.

Among games that will appear on CSTV are Colorado at Colorado State on Sept. 9, Rutgers at Navy on Oct. 14 and Notre Dame at Air Force on Nov. 11.

Good for him. I always thought Trev was a very good analyst. He was always truthful in his statements without any run-around. I hope his play-by-play is as good as his analyses. Best of luck Trev!

and he didnt play favorites, if the Huskers sucked that day he said so. unlike the rest of the talking heads at espuke. that is probably why he got fired

I'm happy for him. I always thought he did a great job for ESPN, but I guess he wasn't anti-Husker enough for them. It will be great hearing him talk college football this fall, as he has a great knowledge of the game.
