Big XII Honors

I know there are some Ruud haters out there but his stats aren't horrible. He is fourth on the team with tackles at 60. (Bradley 67, Jones 62, Green 61). Yet he did lead the other LBs on the team in tackles for loss, sacks, and interceptions: 7 for 31 yds, 2.0 for 23 yds, and 2 for 54 yds respectively.

I'm thinking the voters wanted to reward Nebraska at that position because there were numerous LBs in the conference that had more tackles than Ruud.

I'm not a big Bo Ruud supporter and had to laugh when there was speculation voters thought they were voting for Barrett but his numbers did well to represent Nebraska.
It just makes you wonder if they just look at stats and not film, because sometimes that's what happens

How the hell can Stoops can this award?!?!?!? I just don't think he deserves it....they are basically backing into the Big XII Championship b/c Texas dropped the ball and lost two games back-to-back.

Oh well, it is nice to see that ZT and AC got their awards.

I disagree with you. They only lost one game in the Big 12, I wouldn't call that backing in. How manny other coaches could hold it together after losing their starting quarterback and All American tailback? Who do you think should be the coach of the year?

They would not be in the Big XII Championship Game if it wasn't for Texas crapping their pants the last two games....I know it is coulda, shoulda, woulda, but I just don't he deserves it.

Losing his starting QB....he broke the f-ing rules!!!!!! I don't feel sorry for him at all that he cannot keep his program clean.

Congrats to all those guys on that list! I'm sure as hell proud of them. And I dont care what anybody says about Ruud and Shanle, its the Big XII coaches that vote for this thing (and coaches can vote for their own players) but obviously those two did something to impress a few of those coaches. I'll agree that they are probly not the best players ever, but still its good to see some of our players getting recognition for what they do.

I can't wait to see the haters rip me apart for that comment.

Congrats to all of them..

Amazing... MoPur didn't even start a game yet, did he?

Good Choices all the way around..
