Big12 conference stats

One thing to point out is that Nebraska is #1 in Red Zone D, while Baylor is the worst at offense ranked 12th .

Flip flop the sides of the ball and NU is #10 in the Red Zone, whereas Baylor is #7 on D.

I'm sure they'll be working on not turning the ball over this week during practice.

This really has nothing to do with NU football, but did anyone notice B Smith's numbers? He could do something this year that I don't believe has ever been done before. 2 or 3 years ago, Smith was only the second QB in D1 history to ever run for 1,000 yards and pass for 2,000 yards in a single season. He's on pace to do it again. I don't believe a QB has ever accomplished this feat twice in his collegiate career.

I did hear on the radio where Smith now owns the record for the most yards in a college career in the Big 12 of over 10,000 yards. However, I don't know whether these figures are just from when the Big 12 was formed or whether they include the old Big 8 records. It's sad that Pinkel (sp) has never learned how to use this weapon. His draft status may not be very high due to playing for an inept coach!
