after losing on a last second field goal against a team in the BCS National Championship at a neutral site (basically a home game for Texas). if voters were intelligent, we'd move up a few spots in the rankings rather than possibly drop out of them altogether

Who gives a S*** about the rankings. We know what we are. A team with a top 5 defense and a top 100 offense.

rankings may not matter for us now... but i'm just saying that it shows how flawed college football is

what if we had our offense of last year? winner of the Big XII champ game tonite plays in the national champ game... and it woulda been us

While I understand your position, but at this point in the season it doesn't really matter. Particularly in our case because we've been in and out of the rankings all year.

Since we're now in bowl season, the rankings have no real impact at this point. The best we can hope for is winning the Holiday Bowl and seeing where that might land us when the final rankings are published.

we really have to win our bowl game. right now i'm decently happy with tonites game, but with a loss in the bowl game i feel like the offseason will be full of negativity. we have to beat OSU/arizona/stanford... whomever we play. the only team i could possibly see us losing to out of those three is stanford though

I am normally a huge rankings guy but to be honest I don't really care this week. Chances are we won't be ranked and even if we win our bowl game we might not be ranked.

The bowl game will be awesome but I will be looking forward to next year.

I think undefeated or not, Texas beat a 22nd ranked team and won by only one point. Why should they play for the nation championship? They should drop below TCU! BCS should be called the BS-Coalition. JMO.
