Biggest NU Hit?

The biggest hit has to be Tom Ruud on the Oklahoma kick returner.

I was at that game in '78, and that was still the hardest hit I've ever seen in a football game. Kelly Phelps transferred from Oklahoma (after his separated shoulder and broken jaw healed). By the way...I believe it was John Ruud that made that hit. Tom graduated in '74.

Any time 97ish when the mean, mean receivers would headhunt and murder d-backs. God, I loved that.

 
I dont see why they cant play some of the videos of these hits on the big screen before the defense takes the field. How could the defense not go out on the field and just want to take some freakin heads off!!

 
Any video with a Wistrom, Peter or others knocking down, smashing, or running over the opposition works for me. I love some of the links above and in another thread. Really got me motivated. Oh, and add Barret or Tom Ruud to the list. I am just sorry Bo did not get the same coaching.

 
These are so awesome , but they make me very angry at both these players we have now and the coaching staff we just got rid of that turned the Blackshirts into a bunch of pansies. It is embarrassing and these players should be embarrassed! I know. They're just kids , but so were the Blackshirts of old and they played like men. I still hope that all of these current defensive players girlfriends went out and cheated on them with members of the bowling team. They deserve it! :rant
