With all due respect to DPE, when Purdue first reached the red zone Saturday, there was a graphic indicating they were 5/5 scoring TD's after accomplishing that feat (reaching the red zone). That Spoilermaker team had only been to the red zone five times before last weekend. That's a pretty good scare considering it kept coming back every time they reached the red zone Saturday. I am probably laboring the point as I am wont to do, though.
I had to chuckle while listening to one of the experts on the radio talking about how Nebraska shouldn't worry about traveling to West Lafayette overly much because Purdue's passing offense hadn't been very good...given how another team without a respected aerial attack (Northwestern) fared in Lincoln just days before.
I hope our kids are mad as hell and won't take this anymore. The number of fans who invest that kind of emotion is dwindling. I don't know that I've ever called myself a "diehard fan" but it seems that the term doesn't get used much when it should. I'll stick together with the rest of you in this and any other kinds of weather that come along.
