Did you hear Bill Thunder Thorton pass away? It was sevral week"s ago and he lived in Columbia.

If some one already said this sorry to bother.

I don"t remebr real good when he played at GBR, but I remebr when he played for STL Cardinal in NFL.

Just in case you didn"t know.

I remember watching him play. He helped get Devaney's first year off to a great start. Just shows what a good coach can do, Thunder was on Bill J's the year before and didn't really show what a good player he was to become, playing for that staff of coaches. Rest in peace "Thunder", thanks for being a corner stone on what the program grew into.

GBR!!!

I'm a fan of the humor TuffTiger...but I'd suggest when posting something of this nature, you put away the gimmick. Just my opinion.

I saw it in Tribune last week, didn"t see it on here so post it. I knew Thunder a little from around town.

No one else post it so i did. Just my opinion as ,you say, and you"re welcome.

I work with a guy that played with Thorton at NU, John Koinzan. He played D-line, but said Thorton was one tough SOB. I enjoy bs'n with John about his days at NU and the current state of the program.
