Black Monday

All-Conference
So tomorrow a bunch of NFL coaches are gonna get fired and a couple of college coaches are moving up. Are there recruits we were in on, that we lost on, that we may still win on by Feb?

or

What college coaches are going pro and who can we steal?

Saban? Kelly? Mora?

I've said it repeatedly, but I finally have a place to put that it is relevant...

Mora to Chargers.

I want their O-Line. Morris, Lacy, Queesenbery. And I wouldn't mind seeing what we could work out with Kenneth Clark, their committed DT.

Has like a 18m buyout so doubtful
Many if not most or all coaches have a clause in their contracts that say if they get an NFL HC job that there is no buyout. That's a different kind of move than to another college program.
From the stuff I have read living in penn st country there isn't anything in it about an nfl job and unless something could be worked out to avoid it the buyout would be the full 18.4 m left on his deal, most think his agent is just going to use the nfl threat as a tactic to get penn st to renegotiate the buyout

It's been mentioned that he may have been misled as to the likelihood of NCAA sanctions and that this may be used in negating (or at least negotiating) the buyout.

Misled..? How does anyone with a TV not know that that program was going down?

It was not a lock that the NCAA would get involved with what is essentially a criminal matter. A lot of people still think they shouldn't have. It is not at all far fetched to think that Obrien was not expecting NCAA sanctions of this magnitude or his roster bring declared open season.

A lot of ferentz to Kansas City talk...that would make sense...
As a Chiefs fan this is complete
There are still Chiefs fans?

More seriously, its Black Friday for NFL coaches, and for USC. The faceplant they did in the Sun Bowl should make it open season on those recruits. They might be off the bowl ban, but they still have some scholarship limitations, and they go out like that.
