Blackshirt announcements

I'd bet soon - this weekend - Monday at the latest. Usually there's about 12-15 handed out isn't there? Some situational players and some special teamers get them - those who fit the qualities of a "Blackshirt."

 
There should probably be more than 11 due to different defensive packages and such. I would expect them early next week or this weekend sometime.

 
Who do you all think will get one?

My guess is:

Definite: Turner, Suh, Octavien, Rudd, McKeon, Green, Asante, Jones, and Grixby.

Possible: Steinkuhler, Potter, Bowman, Thenarse, Wilson

Long shots: Brandenburgh, Blue, Prince, Dillard, Eisenhart, Murillo.

Brandenburgh and Dillard were Blackshirts last year, Bowman was in 05, I think they are in the definite category. Thenarse is a long shot IMO. Of all the safeties, you hear the least about him.

 
Hey everybody, has anyone seen the ABC regional coverage map of the Nevada game yet? I sure hope I can get it here in Kansas. Hopefully they wont be showing Mizzery or the Jayhawks. I went to ABC but they don't list any particular teams. Please post it here if anyone knows!!

If I remember right, ABC's "regional coverage" for this area is just about as big as the central time zone. I know I am getting it here in south Texas. (I called the tv station) :) So I see no reason you shouldnt get it in Kansas.

 
If it helps, we try and post the ABC Regional Coverage map each week. As I recall, ABC makes it available on Tuesday or Wednesday of the game week, so check the Husker Football forum around then - we give it its own thread.

 
Another post derailed.

IMO, there should be 11 Blackshirts, with possibly 1 extra for special teams. But if someone was to get injured, their replacement should have the opportunity to get one as well, depending on their play.
