Blackshirts and crowd noise

Remember the Blackshirts saying they had trouble with audibles during the KU game because of the crowd noise? Considering the crowd will be even louder, I hope the Blackshirts are working on them hand signals to call audibles.

I hope Callahan and Cosgrove take the gloves off in this match and let it all hang out, I really believe this team can beat anyone when allowed to play their game. I really hope Thenarse gets a lot of playing time, yeah I know he is a true freshman, but the kid is a fireball and plays 110% on every play we need this kind of spit and vinegar especially against Texas.

I think we will see some cool plays in this, I can think of quite of few trick plays we ran last year in big games and all we've done this year is some fake Special Teams plays. I hope we see some of these... RB Pass, WR Reverse Pass, Flea Flicker, etc.... I will also be happy just to see some more simple play action, I cant believe after we establish the run we dont start running some play action, does anyone understand that :dunno

I totally agree, we need to open up the playbook against Texas, running up the centers a$$ is great against Iowa State and K sucks, etc. but against Texas we need to run a lot of misdirection plays to take advantage of Texas' fast pursuing defense. :restore

I think he'll have to open it up. Personally, I think we've played very conservatively the last couple of games at Iowa State and Kansas State. Hopefully, Cally's been saving the best for this weekend, and will be driving full throttle, open tilt, no holds barred.

This is our opportunity to make something happen. They have a young qb. Our D has been playing better. Our O isn't playing too bad either, and if they let ZT run the show, he will run the show!

Let's forget our 'd' said anything about being too loud. Let's bring the noise! Where do you think this Saturday's crowd will rank in terms of loudness/rowdiness with past Memorial Stadium crowds??

Should be the best in a while imo. The only downer is that it's at 11, and early games in the past haven't been as loud, but I do think this one will be very loud.

My uncle blames it on the blue hairs. He says they don't attend night games, but do the early games, so people get to stand for the night games. Don't know if this is true, but it should be loud this week!

The loudest game I have ever been at was 1994 against Colorado. And that was a 10:30AM kickoff! I don't remember why it was so damn early, but I remember leaving to drive to Lincoln at 4:30AM that morning to tailgate. Even with the early kick the crowd was AMAZING that day - Good times!

Jeez 4:30!!! That is awesome! If Gameday was going to be in Lincoln on Saturday, me and my dad were going to leave Omaha at 6:30 so we could get a nice view of them.
