So far in Big Ten play Nebraska has owned the money quarter, outscoring Illinois 7-0, Michigan State 19-0 and Northwestern 17-0 in the final frame.
That's a 43-0 run in the Huskers' favor. That's a finishing kick guys like sophomore defensive end Greg McMullen wants to make sure continues.
"When it comes to strength and conditioning, coach James Dobson always does a great job in preparing us. Like we always say, 'You win games in the fourth quarter,'" McMullen said. "But it's also our mindset as a team as a whole, whether we're up 25 points or down 25 points, we're going to give it all we've got until the clock says four zeroes.
"That's kind of our identity. ... If it looks like, 'Oh, in the fourth quarter you guys have done an excellent job,' well, we must have been doing our job."
