Bo Appreciation Thread

Three-Star Recruit
I have seen a lot of people saying "We love Bo.." but very few people are talking about WHY we should love Bo and be thankful to have him. This was an emotionally scared team from Callahan's last year. Bo reinvigorated this team with fight and a new winning attitude. He recovered the team's spirit after humiliating losses to Missouri and Oklahoma. He knows how to MOTIVATE!

He (and this staff) also know how to gameplan and readjust. Look at all of the second half comebacks this year. Against V-Tech and Texas Tech, we were down at halftime to come back to nearly win. We were losing to Baylor at halftime, losing to Kansas in the third, and San Jose State had us on the ropes in the third. We bounced back to win those convincingly. More importantly, we beat every team we were supposed to beat. You could argue that we should have beat Virginia Tech, but they did finish the season strong.

The Big 12 is set up perfectly for our return. We have the talent to win the North next year. I don't like our chances to beat OU or Texas in the Championship game, but establishing control on the North is more important right now. Once we get back to controlling the North year by year, we will begin to stockpile the talent to contend with and eventually beat OU and Texas.

His first recruiting class looks solid and appears to contain some real difference makers. Although not as highly rated as the Callahan years, I expect them to develop into great players. I also want to mention how happy I am that he has jump-started the walk-on program and embraced TO's advice. It has already paid dividends this year after some stellar game performances by walk-ons.

If Bo can continue to win the games he should win and knock off a couple of teams he isn't expected to, our return will be soon. I have full confidence in Bo Pelini, and hope that he will be our head coach for a long time.

Go Big Red!

Ill drink the :koolaid2: He did a wonderful job in just one full season. I cant wait to see how he matures as a head coach what he is capable of..

WHY? 9-4 works for me in his first year. I like our chances against anyone next year.....respect few, fear none. Thanks for the attitude Coach.

He apparently knows how to develop talent. Callahan recruited well, but the reason nothing ever came of his teams or players is he had no idea that you had to develop that talent. It was like the NFL to him where you get the big names, and the go scheming. Its not like that. The most important thing to do is DEVELOP the talent you get. And seeing the turn around 1 year has had, I know he can do that. Just immagine if suh would have been with him for 4 years. Oh man.

We know Bo can motivate when you're down and turn things around. The big thing that I'm waiting to see, is how Bo reacts when he is on top and needs to keep his teams going. A great coach can have a year like Bo had, the best coaches keep things going. I have all the faith in the world that Bo will be one of the best coaches.

I appreciate Bo's toughness, attitude, class, & motivation.

As a Clemson fan, I'd be more than happy for Dabo to bring that style to us.

I think it's safe to say that Pelini has been as good as advertised. Well, maybe not for those who expected a nat. title and peace in the middle east in year one. But for the rest of us it's can only be considered as success.

This time last year, all I was hoping for was a huge statistical improvement on D, CHECK! A team that plays with fire, and pride for the university, CHECK! And I really felt 9 wins and a prominent bowl game where a definite possibility, DOUBLE CHECK! So I can say I got all I was hoping for! Thanks Bo & Co!!!

For all the naysayers on this board (you know who you are!) who said we'd be lucky to have the same record, and maybe make a bowl game. Have a little faith would ya!

Congrats to the coaches. Bo put together a great staff that have really worked well as a team. I think the strength has been in the entire coaching staff and look forward to next year and how they will continue to develop players.

I have thought about this many times, but remember a kid by the name Baker. All I'm going to say right now.
