Although happy with the win at Missouri, Nebraska coach Bo Pelini said during the Big 12 teleconference that the Huskers can't just look the other way in terms of what they did offensively in Columbia.
NU struggled mightily through three quarters and trailed 12-0 in the heavy rain. In fact, 154 of their 263 total yards against the Tigers came in the fourth quarter.
"You have to look at everything and everything you do every week and learn from what happened,'' Pelini said. "We might play in those conditions again Saturday. You don't know that. We have to get better and get things fixed. We're not just going to ignore the things that went wrong just because of the bad conditions.''
Asked if Nebraska would have been better offensively in more favorable conditions, Pelini said: "Yeah, but I'm sure Missouri would have been, too.''
Pelini acknowledged that quarterback Zac Lee had a rough three quarters before throwing three touchdown passes in the fourth. But Pelini said people tend to point fingers at the quarterback when it's usually a matter of 11 guys not all executing.
Pelini said Lee has played pretty consistent football through his first five career starts.
"I like where Zac is,'' Pelini said. "I think he's playing pretty well.''"
